CONTEST RULES
Contestants perform two tunes, different tempos, within the style of their category. Juniors are a separate category. A Junior is defined as seventeen years old or younger. They may perform in any style of their choice, and their selections do not have to be within the same style. All contestants should not exceed three minutes for each tune played.

Each contestant is allowed up to two backup musicians, used as rhythm only. The contestant must be the sole lead instrument.

Contestants may compete in more than one category. Juniors have the option of competing in the categories of their choice or as a Junior, but not both.

Order of performance is by lottery . Contestants entering multiple categories must draw a number for each category entered.

Sign in starts at 11 am,and continues through the opening performance. Sign in closes at 1 pm. If you know you will absolutely, positively show up in time to compete, but can not show up during sign in, call 908-892-2441, and a number will be drawn for you.

Banjo categories open the contest, followed by the fiddle categories. The individual categories are not grouped by style. Order of banjo contestants and fiddle contestants is dictated solely by lottery.

Decisions of the judges are final, so enjoy yourself, share some music, and have a good time.
